Willvercity is a family-run agricultural business located in the southern tip of the Grampians. We are dedicated to sustainable, circular farming practices that prioritize the environment, animals, soil health, and ecosystem balance. Our approach blends traditional wisdom with modern ecological techniques to create a farm that thrives in harmony with nature.

• Soil Health & Microbiology – Healthy soil is the foundation of our farm. By fostering diverse microbiology, we enhance soil fertility and productivity naturally.

  • We don’t use chemicals. Instead, we make our own powerful natural fertilisers using worm castings, building healthy soil that feeds our plants the natural way.

  • We follow the Soil Food Web principles taught by Dr. Elaine Ingham, using microscopes and biology to guide our soil care. Our goal is simple: grow healthy food from healthy soil.

Where Our Journey Started 25+ Years Ago

It all began with a simple family fishing trip. As we dug into the soil, searching for worms, we found… nothing. Not a single worm in sight.

For any gardener, this was a troubling sign—healthy soil should be teeming with life. That moment sparked a flood of questions:

• Why are there no worms, frogs, or birds?

• What else is missing from our ecosystem?

• If the land is our livelihood, our biggest asset, and our family's future—what are we doing wrong?

• How can we restore the ecosystem, improve our soil, and ensure the health of our animals?

That wake-up call set us on a path toward regenerative, circular farming—working with nature, not against it. Today, Willvercity is dedicated to rebuilding soil health, fostering biodiversity, and creating a sustainable future for generations to come.

• Low-Stress Livestock Management–We focus on gentle handling, calm environments, and understanding animal behavior; promoting welfare, reducing injuries, and improving productivity. Our animals thrive naturally, thanks to respect, routine, and responsible care every day.

Our Commitment to Nature & Sustainability

• Multi-Species Grazing – We integrate different livestock species to support ecological balance. Each species contributes unique nutrients to the soil, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem.

• Rotational Systems - Our animals graze in a rotational system that allows the land to rest and regenerate, boosting soil health, plant diversity, and forage quality.

  Fresh paddocks reduce parasites and stress, supporting healthier, more resilient livestock.

  Our livestock thrive—naturally happy, low-maintenance, and well cared for.

• Carbon Reduction Initiatives – We actively work to lower our carbon footprint by planting trees, utilising solar energy, and running solar-powered water pumps.

• Reclaiming Windfall Wood – We reclaim windfall wood, naturally fallen trees and branches, and transform them into beautiful, functional handmade products, giving new life to what nature provides.

Everything we do is connected — from the soil to the sun, from the animals to the crops, and from our products to your home. It’s farming in a circle, guided by nature.
